Snow Clearing

To assist the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo with its snow clearing operations, residents are asked to:

  • Be patient, understanding and cooperative
  • Stay well behind snow clearance equipment as blowing snow will reduce visibility
  • Reduce driving speed to reflect weather conditions
  • Allow extra stopping distance when approaching intersections
  • Allow extra travel time and reduce unnecessary travel due to road conditions
  • Clear sidewalks adjacent to personal and/or business property
  • Not clear driveway or parking lot snow onto the street in accordance with the Roads and Transportation Bylaw
  • Respect No Parking areas, including removing parked vehicles from collector roads within 24 hours of snow clearing notices being posted
