Cemeteries
General Information
The Parks, Recreation and Culture Branch of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo provides all season maintenance and operations to the Fort McMurray and Abasand Cemeteries. We perform turf and roadway maintenance, horticulture services and landscaping restorations.
To arrange for a burial, reserve a plot, or for more information, please contact the Parks, Recreation and Culture branch office at 780-799-5832.
We do not arrange for funerals or headstones. Please contact the private industry for this service.
Visiting Information
The cemeteries are open to the public 24 hours each day, seven days a week. We provide staff to assist with grave locations between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
