Specialized Transportation

Our Specialized Transportation Service is an accessible door to door service for seniors, and those unable to board the regular transit system. Any resident in Fort McMurray whose mobility problems prevent or severely inhibit the use of the regular transit system may ride on the bus.

All passengers should book their trips at least 24 hours in advance by calling 743-7909.

Hours of Service

Monday	8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday	8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday evening	6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday	8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday	8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday	8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday	8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There is no service on Sundays or statutory holidays.

Fees

$1.25 per trip / $2.50 per round trip.
Passes may be purchased by calling 743-7909 or from bus drivers.

Cancellation Policy

For all cancellations, call 743-7909.

To cancel, please provide the following information:

Your name
Date and time of the booking(s) you wish to cancel, including the time(s) of the return trip(s)
If the cancellation is for a Subscription booking, indicate the date you want the service to start again.

General notes on cancellation:

When you call to cancel the booking, your return trip is automatically cancelled unless you request otherwise.
If you do not cancel, then your trip is considered “Cancelled at the Door” or “No Show” and your booking for the return trip will automatically be cancelled. Passengers whose trips are marked “Cancelled at the Door” or “No Show” on a regular basis will have their service reviewed by the Specialized Transportation Coordinator.

Special Events

Special events may be arranged at a cost of $35 per hour and a minimum of a two hour booking. (Please see Special Event Booking Criteria below.)
