Santa may be magical, but he still needs the help of his elves and plenty of human volunteers to make his visit happen. Have a look at the functions below to learn how you can help make this event a success.
Traffic Control (5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Ensure intersections are blocked during the parade and open intersections once the parade is complete.
Host (4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
Prepare and serve hot chocolate to all parade participants/volunteers prior to the parade.
Float Judge (4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
Evaluate each float and determine “best float” winners.
Parade Director (4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
The floats can’t move without you! Guide the floats from the parade line up to the parade route. Ensure the parade starts at 6:30 p.m. sharp.
Information (4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
“May I help you?” You have all the answers participants need on parade day, including parade line-up and route maps.
Santa's Elves (5:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
Dress up in a Christmas costume and lead the parade on foot. Hand out bags full of “goodies” to all children along the route.
Parade Line-up Coordinator (4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
Ensure floats know where to line up and are positioned in a safe location.
